Removal Company Kensington is committed to providing a safe and healthy working environment for our employees, clients, contractors and members of the public who may be affected by our activities. Health and Safety Responsibilities

The overall responsibility for Health and Safety rests with the company management of Removal Company Kensington. Management is responsible for providing the leadership, resources and procedures necessary to maintain high standards of safety throughout our operations.

Supervisors and team leaders are responsible for implementing this policy on a day-to-day basis. They must ensure that removal crews follow safe systems of work, use equipment correctly, report hazards promptly and cooperate fully with Health and Safety instructions.

All employees, including temporary and agency workers, have a duty to take reasonable care of their own health and safety and that of others who may be affected by their actions. Every member of staff must follow training and instructions, use protective equipment where required, report unsafe conditions, and never intentionally interfere with or misuse any safety equipment.

Risk Assessment and Safe Working Practices

Drivers are required to plan journeys to allow adequate time, avoid unnecessary rushing and consider factors such as congestion and access constraints. Fatigue, alcohol, drugs or any condition that may impair driving ability are strictly prohibited when operating or working around vehicles.

Client Premises and Public Safety

Ongoing training is provided where regulations change, new equipment is introduced, or changes in our service require updated working methods. Supervisors monitor the performance of removal crews and provide guidance, correction and refresher briefings to maintain safety standards.

Health and Safety information, including this policy and supporting procedures, is available to staff. Employees are encouraged to raise concerns and suggest improvements to safety practice without fear of reprisal.

Accidents, Incidents and First Aid

All accidents, injuries, near misses and dangerous occurrences involving Removal Company Kensington staff or activities must be reported promptly to management. These events are recorded, investigated where appropriate, and any necessary corrective actions are implemented.

First aid provisions are maintained at our premises and in vehicles where required. Staff are informed of the arrangements for first aid, including the location of equipment and the identity of trained first aiders where applicable.
